Method:
1 Heat oil in a frying pan over high heat. Add bacon and sauté until crispy, add garlic and remove from heat.
2 Combine cream and egg yolk in a small bowl, add to the bacon and garlic and stir over a low heat for a 1-2 minutes or until sauce starts to thicken.
3 Cook pasta following packet directions. Drain.
4 Add cooked pasta and cheese to bacon mix and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper.  Serve topped with basil.
