Method:
1. Preheat oven to 200°C fan-forced.
2.  Make crumble; place on an oven tray. Cook for 10 minutes or until browned lightly.
3. Meanwhile, combine pears, raisins, brandy, caster sugar and water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring, about 5 minutes or until fruit softens.
4. Spoon stewed fruit into a serving bowl; sprinkle with crumble. Serve with ice-cream, if desired.
Crumble: Combine flour, brown sugar, meal, coconut, spices and rind in a medium bowl; rub in butter using fingertips until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
